The twelve watercolours titled ‘Happiness’ were made while looking at nature’s bounty found on the forest floor in the Garhwal Himalayas. Moss, lichen, flora, bark, fern, seedling, all calling out to be found and preserved in the language of drawing.
Spending time drawing ephemera makes me aware of how sometimes what’s important is not just the making or the sharing or the naming of a form, but the impulse to speak back to the universe as if to say, even the smallest action sends a ripple out everywhere.
