A symbol of an absence of the body.
Embodying the power to rule, pledge, decide, and determine.
Parts of my body merged into the chair... Black ceramic objects
A fusion of bonnet and helmet.
lack the presence of a head...
only a void, a vacant cranium...
Flashes of memory
An amalgamation of objects
The body’s lingering presence even in its absence.
that unsettling tension between presence and absence, A juxtaposition of softness and harshness,
levity and weight, memory and vacancy,
But the body’s essence remains,
even when it is no longer physically present.
