This set of works by Shakuntala Kulkarni inculcates her deep association
with Kekoo and Khorshed Gandhy's consistent participation in raising their
voices for social justice. In her earlier videos (also displayed in the exhibition),
made in 2007 are in response to the consistent social-political discord in
society, power games and the ensuing violence come to mind in these
works. You would see how the push and pull of an endless tug of war
renders its humans tired on their feet, and how a trust-fall may be without
any safety nets.
