This painting is stretched on a mattress, shaped somewhat like an ironing board. This image
seeks to leap into zones of creativity and beauty from the mundane area of domestic chores.
The woman in the first image with her gestures of opening and closing her eyes, is looking
around her. This is the real world. And then, there is the imagination. There are Chinese
clouds, Sienese hills and the magic power of a pencil. An artist in the studio owns both these
worlds, and attempts to create a third.
