The word diorama can either refer to a nineteenth century mobile theatre device, or, in modern usage, a three-dimensional full-size or miniature model. The current, popular understanding of the term “diorama” denotes a partially three-dimensional, full-size replica or scale model of a landscape showing historical events, nature scenes or cityscapes, for purposes of education or entertainment. Miniature dioramas are much smaller, and use scale models and landscaping to create historical or fictional scenes.

My work is a docu-drama based on facts - where I see Gandhi is the only person who walked.

Collecting Gandhi small statues from all over showed how unpopular he is. It is quite a difficult icon to find today on the street, but at the same time his images is exhaustively used when convenient.

Gandhi can be today seen as an elite symbol of ‘truth’ also culturally appropriated by the educated in the zone of the secular.

The title date suggests the beginning of Gandhi’s Satyagraha (non-violence movement in 1908 to Independence in 1947) upto the re-naming of every road named after Mahatma Gandhi.
