Baroda based Debraja Goswami explores a world of what he calls 'half-truths,' in his recent series of painterly investigations. He reacts strongly against political and corporate forces that throttle the accuracy and flow of information. In fact, in this world of information excess a continuous narrative that suggests a healthy, progressive "feel good" state of contemporary global civilization is misleading since often the most fundamental issues plaguing mankind do not get addressed. Debraj's work brings forth a sense of urgency combined with a good sense of humour as he reflects upon what lies beneath the layers of surface 'half-truths'.
