Cities Countries and Borders

Zarina Hashmi an artist of Indian origin has been working and
living in Manhattan since 1975. She has been working essentially
in the field of print-making having tutored under the well known
print-maker, Hayter at Atelier 17 in France.
Cities, Countries and Borders is an ongoing meditation
of personal and political geographies, an attempt to situate
oneself in the landscape of cities and countries, which are
continually changing by wars, territorial claims and shifting
borders. Maps are also creations of our imagination and of our
hopes and longings.
Zarina has shown widely around the USA, has earned several
awards and is in the collection of various public institutions
